‘Boy Kills World’ – Bloody Exclusive Clip Unleashes More Cheese Grater Horror from Producer Sam Raimi

Published

on

Producer Sam Raimi unleashed some gnarly cheese grater horror in last year’s Evil Dead Rise, and his next film as producer is armed with the very same skin-obliterating weapon.

I’m of course talking about Boy Kills World, which stars Bill Skarsgård as a deaf-mute action hero. The film from producers Sam Raimi and Roy Lee is described as “a one-of-a-kind action spectacle set in a dystopian fever dream reality,” and Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions are bringing it to theaters on April 26. How about a gory Red Band clip while you wait?!

Boy Kills World is rated “R” for “Strong bloody violence and gore throughout, language, some drug use and sexual references.” Preview some of the gory violence below…

Moritz Mohr directed Boy Kills World, which was written by Arend Remmers (Sløborn) and Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury: The Movie).

In Boy Kills World, “Boy (Bill Skarsgård) is a deaf-mute with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, Boy escapes to the jungle and is trained by a mysterious shaman to repress his childish imagination and become an instrument of death.”

Raimi previews, “Mohr brings a distinct visual style and an unbridled imagination to the screen, creating an original, outrageous, and visceral thrill ride. Boy Kills World‘s eclectic cast, eye-popping stunt sequences, and deranged sense of humor will blow audiences away.”

The cast also includes Happy Death Day star Jessica RotheYayan Ruhian (John Wick 3, The Raid: Redemption), Andrew Koji (Warrior, Snake Eyes), Isaiah Mustafa (It: Chapter Two), Famke Janssen (The Postcard Killings), Sharlto Copley (District 9), Michelle Dockery (“Downton Abbey”), Brett Gelman (Stranger Things), Quinn Copeland (Peacock’s Punky Brewster), and twins Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti (Big Little Lies).

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

Fede Alvarez’s (Evil Dead, Don’t BreatheAlien: Romulus will be unleashed in theaters nationwide on August 16, and Entertainment Weekly brings us two new images today.

The first image you’ll find below gives us another fresh look at the film’s Xenomorph, with Alvarez promising the outlet that it’s the most H.R. Giger-faithful Xenomorph of them all.

Entertainment Weekly writes, “… Alvarez promises [the Xenomorph’s design] is closer to H.R. Giger’s original creation than any other iteration.” The late H.R. Giger was of course integral to Ridley Scott’s Alien, designing the iconic monster the franchise is centered on.

The other image you’ll find below gives us a look at two of the human characters from Alien: Romulus, Archie Renaux’s Tyler and Cailee Spaeny’s heroine Rain Carradine.

Head over to Entertainment Weekly for their full preview of the upcoming film.

Here’s the full official plot synopsis for Alvarez’s Alien: Romulus, which comes in the wake of Disney reviving the Predator franchise in spectacular fashion with last year’s Prey

“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

Cailee Spaeny (The Craft: LegacyPacific Rim Uprisingleads the cast alongside Isabela Merced, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu.

Alien: Romulus takes place in between the first two films. It’s been described as “an original standalone feature,” one that “will focus on a group of young people on a distant world.”

Fede Alvarez co-wrote the script with Rodo Sayagues (Evil Dead). Ridley Scott is on board as producer for the film, the first movie in the franchise to be released by Disney.
