Theo Rossi, Mario Van Peebles, Derek Wilson to Play Vampires in ‘Young Blood’

Mario Van Peebles in 'Jaws: The Revenge'

Theo Rossi (“Sons of Anarchy”), Mario Van Peebles (Jaws: The Revenge), and Derek Wilson (“The Boys”) will play vampire godfathers in Young Blood, Deadline has learned.

“Harper’s Island” creator Ari Schlossberg makes his feature directorial debut on the film from his own script.

It follows three college best friends who travel to Key Largo for what promises to be the best spring break ever until they end up stranded on a deserted island being hunted by starved, bloodthirsty vampires

Myles Truitt (“Stranger Things”), Madison Wolfe (The Conjuring 2), Marley Aliah (“The Runarounds”), Genneya Walton (“Daredevil: Born Again”), Alex Aiono (“Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin”), and Mitchell Hoog (Freaky) also star.

WeBros Entertainment is behind the project, currently in production in Key Largo, Florida

Michael Weiss, Andy Weiss, and Gregg Barbagallo are producing. Executive producers include Matt Luber, Kelly Pendygraft, Brian Gottlieb, Celina & Sergio Borges Torrealba Carpi, and Arvin Scott.

Babacar Diene of Paradigm Agency is handling sales for Young Blood.

‘The Guide’ – Psychedelic Horror Movie Takes Place at a Psilocybin Mushroom Retreat

Abigail Cowen (“Stranger Things,” “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” The Ritual) will lead the cast of psychedelic horror movie The Guide, Deadline reports this week.

James Badge Dale (13 Hours) and Edouard Philipponnat (Napoleon) will also star. Inon Shampanier directs from a script co-written with Natalie Shampanier.

Deadline details, “Abigail Cowen will play a young woman who enters a psilocybin mushroom retreat in an effort to heal past traumas, surrendering herself to the care of a psychedelic therapy guide (James Badge Dale). As the guide’s motives come under suspicion, the past bleeds into the present and the session unravels into a psychedelic nightmare.”

“This psychedelic therapy thriller is designed to be a visceral inward journey, and I am thrilled to go on this journey with the incredibly talented James Badge Dale, Abigail Cowen and Edouard Philipponnat,” Inon Shampanier said in a statement to Deadline.
