Lionsgate has landed The Death Roll, a survival horror-thriller spec script written by Kas Graham & Rebecca Pollock (Stolen Girl), Deadline reports.
Glen Powell will executive produce with Dan Cohen via their Barnstorm banner, alongside Bryan Haas (The Order) of Chasing Epic Pictures.
The film follows a couple whose dream vacation turns into a nightmare when they encounter the unexpected: an invasive 15-foot saltwater crocodile.
Barnstorm’s Ryan Schwartz will serve as executive producer, with Chelsea Kujawa and Maria Ascanio overseeing the project for Lionsgate.
Powell and Cohen are also producing A24’s “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” TV series developed by JT Mollner (Strange Darling).
