Abyssmal Entertainment’s Isla Monstro arrives on Digital tomorrow, June 30, along with a Collector’s Edition physical media release via MVD Entertainment Group.
In Isla Monstro, “After accidentally falling off a cruise ship, loser Duke washes up on a secret Cold War-era DARPA island overrun with mutant super soldiers from a failed 1980s experiment. Naturally, he turns it into a luxury resort — drawing the wrath of the U.S. government.”
The comedy assembles an impressive voice cast: John DiMaggio (Futurama, Adventure Time), Juliana Harkavy (Last Shift, The Walking Dead), James Schrader (Dr. Squatch Soap), Harland Williams (Half Baked), James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Barry Bostwick (Rocky Horror Picture Show), Maurice LaMarche (Pinky and the Brain, Futurama), Dana Snyder (Aqua Teen Hunger Force), Spencer Grammer (Rick and Morty), Harry Lennix (The Matrix series, The Blacklist), Christopher Sabat (Dragon Ball Z), Will Friedle (Batman Beyond), and more.
The animated feature is directed by Steven Shea, who taught himself animation from scratch during COVID lockdown, animating solo in his basement for over a year. He co-writes with James Schrader.
Isla Monstro is executive produced by Mike De Trana and Brian Volk-Weiss, and is produced by Shea and Anna Roberts.
