Director Mike P. Nelson (Wrong Turn, V/H/S/85, Silent Night, Deadly Night) unleashes a terrifying legend deep within the jungle in the first trailer for Beware Boiúna.
Beware Boiúna will release in theaters October 2, 2026.
In the film, “Deep in the Amazon, a medical mission spirals into a fight for survival when Boiúna, a colossal ancient predator, awakens to reclaim her domain. In the jungle where nature holds absolute power, she decides who lives and who dies.”
Kiana Madeira (Fear Street). Jessica Rothe (River, Happy Death Day), Logan Marshall-Green (Upgrade) star.
Alan B. McElroy (Wrong Turn) writes the screenplay, with story by McElroy and Tony Giglio.
The trailer below emphasizes survival thrills and big snake terror, but expect these characters to go through a journey according to Nelson. The filmmaker previously said, “If I’m going to do a creature feature, it’s got to be grounded in something that we care about. Whether it’s the characters, the location, the strife in that part of the world, these things play a huge role in then, we’ll just say it, announcing or presenting you with this brand new, and it’s not even new, it’s an ancient legend, legendary creature, but this kind of new iconic snake.”
The production waded deep into the Amazon to film the feature, too, requiring an animal wrangler to keep the cast and crew safe from potential poisonous and venomous wildlife. Read more about it in our first look interview.
