Oscar-nominated Lily Gladstone (Killers Of The Flower Moon) and Kiowa Gordon (Dark Winds, Blood Quantum) have been set to star in the horror western The Curse of Silver, Deadline reports today.
The pair both previously starred in Quantum Cowboys and will reunite with its director, Geoff Marslett, on The Curse of Silver. Marslett will co-direct with Gordon.
The movie is set on the “lawless Texas-Mexico border in the aftermath of the Civil War, the film follows two Union deserters who drag a cursed chest of Confederate silver into a besieged town, unwittingly unleashing supernatural violence.”
The screenplay was written by Geoff Marslett and Rafael A. Ruiz.
That’s not a lot to go on at this time, and a production start date hasn’t been set yet.
Liz Cardenas (A Ghost Story) and Ram Getz (Sunny) are producing; Gladstone, Gordon, and Michael Mortensen serve as executive producers.
The Curse of Silver is among the 80 projects selected for the 2026 Gotham Week Project Market, running September 27–October 3 in Brooklyn, so expect to hear more about it soon.
