Mondo has announced that to celebrate Alien Day tomorrow, they’ll be releasing composer Marc Streitenfield‘s soundtrack to the 2012 sci-fi/thriller Prometheus. The 45RPM 2xLP will be released in both “Engineer White Vinyl with Grey Splatter” (limited to 1,000 copies) and standard black, both in 180 gram. The artwork was done by Kilian Eng.
Mondo will also be releasing a super limited edition of their Aliens soundtrack, composed by James Horner. What makes this edition so unique is that it’s a liquid-filled version dubbed the “Clear Vinyl with Xenomorph Blood”. It’s rather spectacular but I don’t know that I’d pay $225 for it, even if there are only 75 being made.
Both records go on sale tomorrow at 11am CST.
