Carach Angren Mix Beauty and Horror in “When Crows Tick On Windows” (Premiere)

Back in early 2015, we premiered the animated lyric video for Carach Angren‘s “Two Flies Flew Into A Black Sugar Cobweb”. The video was a dark descent into familial horror and was most certainly not for anyone who harbored a fear of clowns. Basically, I was thrilled to bring it to you and thought it was a perfect fit for the site and you, our audience.

Today, we’re returning to the horror-infused symphonic metal style of the Dutch band, only this time we’re staying firmly rooted in the physical world, eschewing animation and keeping the macabre tangible. Below is the exclusive premiere of the band’s newest video for “When Crows Tick On Windows”, which melds surreal imagery and footage of vocalist/guitarist Seregor “conducting” several women who are wearing masks and are coated in blood. It’s a fantastic video with high production and a clear passion for horror visuals.
