[Exclusive] ‘Killer Klowns’ Orchestral Soundtrack Coming from Varese Sarabande
I’m often asked to name my all-time favorite horror movie scores, and one of the first ones that always comes to mind is Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Composed by John Massari, the colorful ’80s synth score is as iconic as the film itself, and it’s set to be re-awakened this Halloween season… with a classical twist!
We’re here today to exclusively report that Massari has signed with Varese Sarabande to release Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Orchestral Soundtrack!
“In the next few weeks, the orchestra, Bear McCreary (“The Walking Dead”) and I will be recording the album here in Los Angeles,” Massari told us in an e-mail.
Furthermore, Varese Sarabande will have the soundtrack’s first pressing available at an unforgettable live event on Sunday, October 22, 2017!
“This spectacular event, “Killer Klowns from Outer Space: Film with Live Orchestra” will be at The Montalban Theater on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. Composer John Massari will conduct The Hollywood Chamber Orchestra AND a Secret Surprise band will perform the Killer Klowns theme song.”
“Cinematic Void will host a Q&A with filmmakers Charlie Chiodo, Stephen Chiodo and Edward Chiodo, members of The Hollywood Chamber Orchestra and composer John Massari.”
“This incredible event will include Cosplay, real live Killer Klowns, authentic KKFOS movie props and fan artwork, a dinosaur petting zoo, Killer Klown face painting, authentic tattoo contest and of course popcorn and cotton candy! Basically, a circus presented by Cinematic SteamPunk!”

A hospital stay grows more nerve-frazzling when memory loss distorts reality in our exclusive clip from This Tempting Madness, inspired by a true story.
The mind-bending psychological thriller will be released in select theaters and on demand on June 12 via Vertical.
Simone Ashley (“Bridgerton”) stars as Mia, who awakens from a coma, grievously injured, her memory fractured. As she puts the pieces of her past together, she starts to question her own actions and her perception of reality.

Jennifer E. Montgomery makes her feature directorial debut from a script she co-wrote with director of photography Andrew Davis, inspired by Montgomery’s first-hand experience with tragedy involving her best friend.
“Months before the incident, there were signals that her world was unraveling,” says Montgomery. “I could feel the pressure building, though I didn’t know what form it would take. I never could have known what violence would come, and I certainly never imagined making a film about it.”
Austin Stowell (“NCIS: Origins”), Suraj Sharma (Happy Death Day 2U), Mojean Aria (Reminiscence), Amol Shah (“For All Mankind”), and Zenobia Shroff (“Ms. Marvel”) round out the cast.
Smoke Jumper Films and Mango Monster Productions produce in association with Catchlight Studios (Heretic, The Blackening).
This Tempting Madness is rated R for “language, violence/bloody images, and brief sexuality.”
