The boys over at Blu-ray.com report some exciting news as they write that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is brining John Carpenter’s Big Trouble in Little China to Blu-ray on August 4th. The only issue is that Fox is known for releasing bullcrap (up-converted DVDs), piece of sh*t Blu-rays (Predator, Donnie Darko, Commando, Die Hard and the list goes on), and I’m sure this will be the same. Directed by thrill master John Carpenter, this edgo-of-your seat adventrue stars Kurt Russell as Jack Burton, a tough-talking, wisecracking truck driver whose hum-drum life on the road takes a sudden supernatural tailspin when his best friend’s fiancee is kidnapped. Speeding to the rescue, Jack finds himself deep beneath San Francisco’s Chinatown, in a murky, creature-filled world ruled by Lo Pan, a 2000-year-old magician who mercilessly presides over an empire of spirits.
