‘Scre4m’ Teaser Poster, Wes Craven Speaks!
There’s no better way of officially announcing a movie than releasing a sweet teaser poster. Below you’ll find the official teaser for Dimension Film’s Scre4m that features a huge look at “Ghostface”. What do you guys think? Filming begins next month in Michigan with an April 15, 2011 release locked down. Horror legend Wes Craven returns to the helm and also reveals that he is in fact SIGNED ON for the duration of the new trilogy! You’ll find some new details from Craven about the plot beyond the break.
On Sid (Neve Campbell) having issues with Ghostface….
“There have been 10 years of no Ghostface, but there has been the movie-within-a-movie Stab. We have fun with the idea of endless sequels, or “sequelitis” as Kevin calls it in the script. Sid goes through these three horrendous things, and Stab was based on those horrible things. And then they’ve been taken by a studio and run into the ground in a series of sequels. She has been off by herself and living her own life, and she’s even written a book that has gotten a lot of critical acclaim. She’s kind of put her life back together in the course of these 10 years. But, certainly, there would be no Scream without Ghostface, so she has to confront him again, but now as a woman who has really come out the darkness of her past.”
On where the horror genre has been the last 10 years.
“It feels like the end of an era of a certain type of film. There are series of films, a lot of sequels, and a lot of remakes, and part of the humor of Scream 4 is when characters comment on that. “Enough of Saw 25 and all!” [Laughs] A lot of films, directors, and studios are the butts of some of the jokes. In order to figure out what’s happening around them, the characters have to figure out where the genre of horror is. So this is a look at horror after 10 years of a lot of sequels rather than original films coming up year after year. One film is successful, and then they make 25 of them. I think it’s time for something new. I’ve done remakes of my own films, too, with The Last House on the Left and The Hills Have Eyes, but we feel it’s time for something new and different, and that’s what this film is going to be.”
You may end up rethinking karaoke nights with your friends after you watch the upcoming horror-comedy Bad Karaoke, set to World Premiere on Sunday, August 30 as part of Tubi FrightFest in London. You can preview the film with the official trailer below.

In the film, “When wedding band keyboardist Emily discovers an old karaoke machine in the back of a dive bar, she thinks it will lead to a fun-filled night of singing and bonding with her bandmates. Unfortunately, this karaoke machine seems to have a thirst for blood.”
“When the singing begins, so does the bloodshed.”
“When an excellent performance allows someone to be spared by the machine, the crew think they’ve figured out how to finally beat it. Proven almost immediately wrong, it takes more horrifying deaths and a visit from a mysterious stranger to realize they may have a chance at survival after all.”
Lexi Underwood (“Cruel Summer”), Case Walker (Monster High: The Movie), and Kat Cunning (Purple Hearts) star in the upcoming horror-comedy Bad Karaoke.
Chris Lightbody and Spencer Yaras wrote the screenplay.
“We were inspired to make this film after years of painful karaoke performances nearly put us in an early grave,” the directors said in a statement. “We found that many people have had near-death karaoke experiences and we wanted to play with that idea, as well as say something profound about the state of new music. But instead, we made Bad Karaoke.”
