‘Hatchet II’ Opens, ‘Last Exorcism’ Closes Film 4 FrightFest Film Festival!
Adam Green’s Hatchet II will receive its world premiere when it opens this year’s Film4 FrightFest on Thursday August 26. Hatchet-man Green, plus leading iconic cast including Kane Hodder, Danielle Harris and Tony Todd will be gracing London’s Empire Cinema on Thurs August 26 to kick-off what is expected to be the festival’s busiest and most fan-friendly event to date. On the swing side of the event…. although FrightFest have premiered both Hostel and Cabin Fever, Eli Roth will be making his first appearance at FrightFest when he and up-and-coming director Daniel Stamm close the festival with the European premiere of the much-anticipated The Last Exorcism on Monday August 30. Film4 FrightFest 2010 runs from August 26-30 at the Empire Cinema, Leicester Square. Festival & day passes go on sale July 3rd. Tickets for Individual films on sale July 26.

Michelle Williams and Daisy Edgar Jones star in the upcoming thriller A Place in Hell from writer-director Chloe Domont (Fair Play), and NEON had originally set the film for theatrical release on December 25, 2026. But we’ve learned that it’s been bumped to next year.
NEON will now release A Place in Hell in theaters on April 23, 2027.

A cutthroat criminal defense attorney (Williams), on the verge of making partner, sees her ambitions upended when a younger lawyer (Edgar-Jones) is brought in to replace her. As rivalry escalates into a battle for control, the two women push one another to dangerous extremes.
Andrew Scott, Danny Huston, Arturo Castro, Rob Yang, Kyle Mooney, Dani Oliveros, and Esther McGregor round out the ensemble cast of A Place in Hell.
Rian Johnson’s T-Street (Knives Out) and MCR (Saltburn) produce.
A Place in Hell moving out of the Christmas Day 2026 release date is a great help to the Robert Eggers-directed Werwulf, which will now own the day without any genre competition.
