The Only Reason to See ‘Breaking Dawn’ Giving Birth Off-Screen?
I guess it’s not all that shocking, but even with fans screaming for an R-rated live-action adaptation of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, it appears that the “infamous” vampire birth will happen off-screen. “On the fan site, on Facebook, all the comments are ‘It has to be R rated! You have to show the childbirth! Gore and guts and sex!’” screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg told the Los Angeles Times. “For me it’s actually more interesting to not see it. You know, you can do childbirth without seeing childbirth… it doesn’t mean it’s any less evocative of an experience.” Thoughts? Bill Condon will be directing the two-part finale that Summit kicks off on November 18, 2011.
