Tobe Hooper’s classic horror flick, Poltergeist also gets the Blu-ray treatment along with 2005’s creepy swamp mansion flick, The Skeleton Key. A young family are visited by ghosts in their home. At first the ghosts appear friendly, moving objects around the house to the amusement of everyone, then they turn nasty and start to terrorize the family before they “kidnap” the youngest daughter.

PULSE [Blu-ray] – Weinstein Company

Horrifying supernatural events consume the life of Mattie (Kristen Bell) once she receives an e-mail from her friend begging for help from beyond the grave. Her investigation of the mysterious e-mail leads to unexpected answers and terrifying conclusions. Imagine our wireless technologies made a connection to a world beyond our own. Imagine that world used the technology as a doorway into ours. Now, the connection made can’t be shut down. When you turn on your cell phone or log on to your e-mail, they’ll get in. You’ll be infected and they’ll take from you what they don’t have anymore – life.

MICAH SAYS: Remember this one? It was easy to forget. It’s features Kristen Bell’s acting and Wes Craven as a co-writer in a remake of the Japanese film, Kairo. And it’s, uh, not good.

THE SKELETON KEY [Blu-ray] – Universal

Set largely in the dark atmospheric backwoods just outside of New Orleans, The Skeleton Key stars Hudson as Caroline, a live-in nurse hired to care for an elderly woman’s ailing husband in their home… a foreboding and decrepit Gothic mansion in the Louisiana delta. Caroline beings to explore the old mansion, armed with a skeleton key that unlocks every door, she discovers a hidden attic room that holds a deadly and terrifying secret.
