‘Kong: King Of Skull Island’ Becomes Animated Feature At Fox

Published

on

Back in 2009, Kong: King Of Skull Island was optioned by Spirit Entertainment with the intent of producing a motion-capture (possibly 3-D) film. Based on a novel that came out around the same time as Peter Jackson’s remake, the story focused on the backstory of Skull Island and how the giant gorilla became king there, introducing other giant gorillas and dinosaurs only hinted at in the previous films.

Deadline reports that Fox has recently picked up the project and plans to turn it into an animated feature that is a modern-day take on the King Kong story told from the ape’s perspective. Christian Magalhaes and Bob Snow, whose ‘Murder of a Cat’ script made the Black List, have been hired to pen the tale. This sounds a little too ambitious to be DTV, but I can’t really say whether or not general audiences are salivating for more giant ape adventures, especially when the last two attempts to bring the story to the big screen failed to set the world on fire – I love Jackson’s version, though.

‘Fall 2: Deadpoint’ – New Poster Promises Brand New Trailer Tomorrow

Published

on

The Fall franchise heads to a new location with new characters in the upcoming Fall 2: Deadpoint, and a brand new official poster has been unleashed this morning.

Additionally, a new Fall 2 trailer is promised for tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Releasing in theaters on September 2, 2026, horror sequel Fall 2: Deadpoint is rated PG-13 for “strong language, some violent content/bloody images and drug material.”

Harriet Slater (Tarot) stars in the upcoming Fall 2: Deadpoint alongside Arsema Thomas (“Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”) and Tom Brittney (Greyhound).

Michael & Peter Spierig (Predestination, Jigsaw) direct Fall 2: Deadpoint from a script by Fall writers Scott Mann (who also directed the original) and Jonathan Frank.

From the survival hit that tapped into the fear of heights and left friends stranded at the top of a tower comes a climb that goes higher, gets deadlier, and hits with next-level adrenaline.

In Fall 2: Deadpoint, two friends take on new heights in Thailand, where unpredictable terrain, extreme exposure, and nowhere to hide push survival further than ever before.

Overwhelmed by her sister Hunter’s death, Jax (Slater) connects with Luce (Thomas), Hunter’s fearless friend. To heal, they attempt the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand.

After a sudden rockslide leaves them stranded on a fragile plank 3000 feet in the air, Jax must confront her deepest fears and fight for survival to find closure.

Fall 3 has already been greenlit, with Mann returning to the director’s chair. The first Fall was a surprise hit in theaters, scaring up $18 million at the worldwide box office back in 2022.
