For the past few weeks, Swedish melodic metal band Katatonia have been posting studio updates for their new as-of-yet-untitled album, the follow-up to 2009’s fantastic Night Is The New Day. Well, earlier today, they updated their Facebook cover photo to the image you see above, suggesting that the new album has a tentative release date for this September. If this is true, consider me super excited. I still blast NITND in my car and have been a fan of the band since Viva Emptiness. Any new Katatonia music is always a good thing in my eyes.
