With the holidays looming, the horror news has come to a screeching halt. And because we never stop, we’ve been trying to mix in some random cool articles just to keep you guys entertained.

Thanks to one of my Twitter followers, Efrain Franco, we’re excited to share this hilarious gem that will kick your weekend off with a bucket of laughs.

As explained in the details, the following video originally ran on the “Today” show, in May, 1984. It’s a segment about a “haunted toaster.” Yes, a toaster so haunted that it burns “Satan lives” into the bread!

The uploader thanks Richard Dominick, the interviewer (and producer from Jerry Springer) who made this astounding moment in TV history possible, and to Boyd Matson, the reporter who produced and narrated the segment.

Horror movie fanatic who co-founded Bloody Disgusting in 2001. Producer on Southbound, V/H/S/2/3/94, SiREN, Under the Bed, and A Horrible Way to Die. Chicago-based. Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
