Variety first reported that Julianne Moore (Seventh Son, Carrie, Hannibal) will play the role of President Alma Coin, the leader of the rebellion against the Capitol, in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2, the studio announced today.
The third and forth installments of the franchise are due to be released November 2014 and 2015 respectively.
The second film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, debuts in theaters worldwide on Nov. 22.
The first Hunger Games film grossed nearly $700 million at the worldwide box office and analysts have high hopes for the second installment.
