Kevin Smith is about to begin filming Tusk, his bizarre Frankenstein-esque, Human Centipede-inspired horror film about a man (Justin Long) transformed into a walrus creature by a mad scientist (Michael Parks).
An interesting bit of news came out of his guest blog on THR, where he revealed that he originally reached out to Quentin Tarantino to play a detective, who ultimately passed. “QT said he dug the script and couldn’t wait to watch Parks let loose his internal Kraken, but he had no interest in acting at the moment.”
Shooting has been delayed until November, and he also revealed that Blumhouse (Insidious, Paranormal Activity, The Purge) was once involved.
