Pale Raven Studios combines the talents of VFX artist, writers, and illustrators who create stories across various mediums. Their latest project, currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, is an ambitious graphic novel series, which they tell me is heavily influenced by Alien, Princess Mononoke, and Neil Gaiman’s “The Sandman”, all of which are dear to my heart. The art looks great and the story has potential.
The creators say about “The Dark Tales of The Brothers Harrow,” that it “bridges the small gap that still exists between comics, film, and literature by giving the reader cinematic quality of film while merging the complex narrative styles of comics and literature. This allows us to give new takes on the Horror genre and find new ways of exploring darker stories.“
