The 5 Most Evil Corporations in Horror Games!

Phenotrans – Dead Rising

Phenotrans

If you’re playing a game where one of the antagonists is a corporation that isn’t military-based there’s a good chance they dabble in the pharmaceutical. As far as video games are concerned, pharmaceutical companies are right below Jaws, Hitler, and folks who refuse to get off their damn phones in movie theaters on the Scale of Evil (patent pending).

Knowing your health, your life, may rely on a company that’s only capable of seeing you as a comically large bag of money isn’t an easy thought to grasp. In the Dead Rising games, the world has been partially obliterated by a zombie epidemic, resulting in entire cities being closed off before they can infect the rest of the world. Phenotrans is the company behind Zombrex, a drug that temporarily halts the progression of the virus that reanimates dead bodies. It’s assumed by many — and mentioned numerous times throughout the series — that Phenotrans has developed a cure, they’re just not sharing it with the world so they can really cash in on Zombrex.

When you’re making so much money off a drug that infected folks rely on to survive and need to continue buying in order to remain among the living, you’d do the same thing. Well, you wouldn’t, but that soulless exec who’s reading this right now probably would. I imagine he’s sitting in a fancy chair in front of a gargantuan wooden desk that was crafted from an ancient Redwood — the cutting of which, he personally oversaw just so he could watch the now homeless woodland critters attempting to flee — reading Bloody Disgusting (as everyone should), and possibly petting one of those weird hairless cats.
