Relativity to Open ‘The Disappointments’ Room Next Year
Deadline reports that Relativity Studios is set for a busy couple of weeks about a year from now as the company today slated its Kate Beckinsale thriller The Disappointments Room for September 25, 2015, and Halle Berry pic Kidnap for two weeks later.
Director D.J. Caruso’s Disappointments Room — about a couple who move into a new house with their young son only to discover a secret room within the attic where terrible horrors are unlocked — will go up against an untitled Blumhouse horror pic from Universal, along with Sony’s toon sequel Hotel Transylvania 2 and Warner Bros’ comedy The Intern.
Kidnap, which centers on a mother who will stop at nothing to rescue her abducted son, opens October 5, 2015, against Disney’s animated redo of The Jungle Book.
Every body has a secret. André Øvredal’s The Autopsy of Jane Doe is getting a brand new home video release from Severin Films, marking the movie’s debut on the 4K UHD format.
The release is part of the Severin Summer Sale, launching June 26.
When the body of an unidentified young woman is discovered at the scene of a mass slaughter, it is sent to the local coroner (Brian Cox) and his son (Emile Hirsch) for surgical post-mortem. But this corpse will reveal chilling secrets. The mortuary itself will pulse with malevolence. And as their autopsy cuts deeper, an unstoppable evil will rise.
