Around this time every year, gamers gather in and around Earls Court in London for the annual gaming celebration known as EGX. This year’s event wrapped up on Sunday, but not before Deep Silver could spend some time showing off the Yager-developed Dead Island 2. This demo does a fine a job of showing off the boundless satisfaction that comes from mercilessly obliterating hordes of zombies with handcrafted weapons.
This game needs to hurry up and arrive so I can make me an electrified sledgehammer — which I will name Mjölnir — so I can finally become Thor. I’m already prepared, I even have my cape. Okay, sure, the cape is really just a blanket I tied around my neck, but it’ll do.
Dead Island 2 arrives on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in early 2015.
