The ocean is a terrifying place. Anything could be hiding in it, concealed in its murky depths, waiting for something to swim by so it can use its freakishly long tentacles to squeeze the life out of it before dragging it into its maw. Megalodons, giant squids, the Kraken, the Bloop, a gaggle of Kaiju — there’s enough room in the deepest parts of the ocean for anything to be hiding in it.
This is why I’m looking forward to Narcosis, because it exploits a fear I first developed watching Jaws. We should respect the ocean, because if you don’t, it will swallow you whole.
