Tucker’s In For An ‘Insidious’ Surprise
Everyone loves Specs and Tucker in the Insidious films. And with the prequel, Insidious: Chapter 3, set for release May 19, 2015, fans have been asking how much of the film will follow the two ghost hunters?
Nuke the Fridge caught up with Angus Sampson, who reveals that his character, Tucker, will have an arc with a huge surprise.
“There’s a little surprise with Tucker in this next one,” Sampson said. “I will say that, a little surprise that Leigh [Whannell] has written for him. Nothing out of this world but it was great fun.”
Whannell, who plays Specs, is directing this time around, which Sampson speaks to.
“It was interesting because I’ve directed Leigh in a few things now, a few shorts and [The Mule] but I was curious as to how it would be the other way. He, having written it of course as well, I was so impressed with the confidence he has in the material. He’ll smash it.”
The full cast of Insidious: Chapter 3 includes Dermot Mulroney (August: Osage County) and Stefanie Scott (Jem and the Holograms) starring alongside Lin Shaye, Angus Sampson, and Mr. Whannell.
“This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.“
Ryan Gosling (Project Hail Mary) has made no secret of the fact that he’d love to play Ghost Rider in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, and it’s now officially happening.
Announced by Marvel out of San Diego Comic-Con tonight, Ryan Gosling will play the iconic Marvel character in a Ghost Rider movie being directed by Shawn Levy!
Expect Ryan Gosling to play Ghost Rider on the big screen in 2028.
Johnny Blaze is of course the most iconic and well-known Ghost Rider, selling his soul to Satan and becoming a supernatural badass. Nicolas Cage brought Blaze to life on screen in both 2007’s Ghost Rider and 2011’s Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, while Gabriel Luna more recently played the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider in the series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
Luna was set to star in his own Ghost Rider spinoff series in the wake of that small screen appearance, but that Hulu project ended up being squashed before it ever had a chance.
Fans have been waiting for Ghost Rider to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe for many years now, with Ryan Gosling making it clear that he’d love to bring the character back to life.
