Movie posters are the best. They’re full of possibilities, and unlike trailers, posters are unrestricted by the content of the film. A movie poster can be a symbolic representation of the movie it’s supposed to sell, it can be stylish so as to catch the eye of passersby, some are even designed to go viral. An especially memorable one can go a long way in wiping the movie it’s advertising from my memory, should you end up hating it. Terminator: Salvation was a bad, bad film, but it had a poster that was cool enough for me to seriously consider plastering on my wall, even though I refuse to sit through the movie again.
This batch of movie posters have one thing in common: I really like them. The movie they represent could have been good or it could’ve been the absolute worst — that doesn’t matter. Mr. Jones
Full disclosure: I haven’t seen Mr. Jones. I heard it isn’t what most folk would refer to as a “quality” film, and that’s what has kept me from watching this myself. It’s a good thing I don’t need to like or even watch the film these posters belong to, because this film’s poster is just fantastic. It’s creepy and has a nice old school horror movie vibe to it.
