Fans of this year’s supernatural mystery game The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter can now look forward to the release of the exquisite soundtrack early next year. Composed by Mikolai Stroinski, the album will be released digitally on January 27th via Sumthing Else Music Works.
Stroinksi told Indie Game Mag:
I started with the detective story element first; composing music that would not interfere with problem-solving yet had forward momentum. Adding the dimension of horror required care; it’s not a sudden scare jump game. It’s like adding oregano while making sure your dish doesn’t come out tasting Italian. It requires subtlety. I would say the main challenge was also adding to the beautiful landscapes and the story of Ethan, without revealing too much about the plot.
