Mr. Scratch – Alan Wake
If I numbered these lists, Mr. Scratch would make the top spot. This jerkface is Alan Wake’s stab-happy doppelganger. He may also be narcissism personified.
I feel lousy about forgetting to mention him in my serial killers list. He was first mentioned in Alan Wake before being properly introduced in American Nightmare, where he spent most of his time recording videos of himself torturing and murdering people in an attempt to taunt Wake.
He’s undeniably a terrible person who does horrific things to undeserving people, but he’s also a fantastic character that deserves way more screen time than what American Nightmare was able to give him.
