The last time I took a stroll through an empty, secluded town with Mary Elizabeth McGlynn’s haunting vocals playing quietly in the background, I did so while dreading the moment when Pyramid Head might materialize right in front of me. There are no such creatures in Kholat — at least as far as I know — but that doesn’t make this gameplay video feel any less ominous.
This is the second half of a walking tour of Ivdel, a real town in Russia that also serves as one of the environments in Kholat. You can find the first part over here.
Kholat releases on June 10 for PC. I recently featured it in my list of upcoming indie horror games I believe will deliver the spooky scary goodness we so desperately crave, alongside four other equally as promising titles that are all worth getting excited about.
