1. The Greasy Strangler
Ronnie and his son work together to run a Disco Walking tour in the Los Angeles area, which seems to be running rather smoothly, until the day that she walks into their life. A beautiful woman; a customer who wishes to see the tour, gets more than she bargained for when she gathers the attention of her business associates. But that’s not all. In the process, she managed to catch the eye of a random street straggler; a slimy inhuman character who preys on vulnerable women in alleyways. It’s not long before this hoodlum coins the name “the greasy strangler”, and a morbid, repulsive account of murder and mayhem ensues. Produced by Elijah Wood and his SpectreVision co-founders Daniel Noah and Josh C. Waller, in addition to genre legend Ben Wheatley heading the project as executive producer, The Greasy Strangler seems like it will be a hilarious, disgusting weird thrill — as expected from first time director Jim Hosking, the guy who brought us “G is for Grandad” in the horror anthology ABCs of Death 2.
