It looks like those last two gameplay trailers were just a warm up for an even more environment-y gameplay trailer for next month’s supernatural spookfest, Kholat. The game is set around the Dyatlov Pass incident which claimed the lives of nine hikers in Russia in 1959. Unlike so many movies that claim to be based on “true stories,” Kholat actually is.
I’m sure whatever happened to those nine hikers wasn’t quite as sinister as the explanation Kholat comes up with, but there’s nothing wrong with taking a little creative license.
Kholat releases on Steam on June 10.
