With Silent Hills finally dead and buried, all we can do right now is wait to see what Konami plans to do with the series. I don’t have any faith in the company anymore, so I can’t say that I have high hopes for the series’ future, but as far as worst case scenarios go, SilentVille takes the cake.
The future that Reddit user Imbarkus has come up with is scarier than the freakiest moments in the P.T. demo because it has a certain amount of plausibility to it now that Konami has shifted their focus to mobile development. As terrifying as Silent Hills could’ve been, it doesn’t quite match the shivers that run the length of my entire body when I think about a free-to-play Silent Hill.
