As much as I enjoy returning to a virtual world I’ve grown to love thanks to some fresh DLC, lately, the quality of the DLC we’ve been getting — as well as the games themselves — has become too inconsistent for me to be okay with dropping $20 or more on a season pass. The risk is there even with otherwise solid games like Dead Rising 3, which received a handful of poorly realized to downright abysmal expansions following its release.
As good a reason as Dead Rising 3 is to stay away from season passes, there’s a growing number of games like Alien: Isolation and The Evil Within that make an equally as strong argument for dropping the cash for them.
In an effort to give us a reason to dust off some of our games, Sony has kicked off an Extended Play Sale event that has discounted a bunch of titles and their season passes. The event will be live until Monday, May 25, so you have some time to take advantage of it.
Below you’ll find some of the sale’s spookier selections.

For the full list of deals, head over here. If you’re looking for a deal on The Evil Within, for some reason, it’s been omitted from this sale. It’s a shame, because of all the horror games I mentioned above, I’d argue its DLC is worth it the most.
