A Group Of Kids Covered Tool’s “Sober” And Killed It

Well over a year ago, I posted a video showing several kids rocking out a cover of Tool‘s “46&2”. The kids did a great cover, nailing the tone and sound and winning over music fans all over. However, the track was basically a note-for-note cover of the original, which isn’t bad but didn’t offer the chance for the kids to put any of themselves into the song.

Well, this cover of “Sober” changes that up a bit. While still sounding like the original, there are definite additions and alterations that make it a new song, something fresh and unique. Also, what’s cool is that the vocalist on this cover is the same girl who did “46&2”. It’s encouraging to see that as she grew up she held onto that love of music and performing.

Tracks can be purchased via Bandcamp and the Aaron O’Keefe group is also hosting a Kickstarter to raise funds for an official album.
