Regression, the Satanic cult thriller starring Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke and Emma Watson, is releasing through Dimension Films on August 28th, 2015.
From The Others director Alejandro Amenabar, Regression definitely has the attitude of a 1980’s slasher movie, which is probably why the writer of Halloween 6 took notice.
Daniel Farrands, who was the writer behind the 1995 Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, is impressed with the trailer for Regression, reminiscing on what could have been.
“20 years later, *here’s* what H6 was intended to look and feel like,” Ferrands said on Facebook. “Too bad we couldn’t afford Alejandro Amenabar,” he added before joking, “Then again, maybe back then we could have.”
Halloween 6 is the film in the franchise that introduces viewers to the hooded figures behind the Cult of Thorn, who were responsible for bringing Michael Myers’ terror to Haddonfield, Illinois.
