Dead Island 2
I can’t be sure, but I think Dying Light may have intimidated someone at Deep Silver. The publisher replaced Dead Island creator Techland with Yager (Spec Ops: The Line), and that got us one of the most addictive horror games of the year. That put quite a lot of pressure on Dead Island 2. This game always needed to be the best entry in what so far has been a very underwhelming series, and now it will need to find a way to best its wildly successful competitor.
Unofficial Status: Nothing to worry about here. Dead Island 2 arrives sometime next year.
Class4 (State of Decay sequel)
It was a long shot to expect to hear from Class4, the long talked about sequel to State of Decay so I can’t say that I’m too upset about not seeing it at E3. Undead Labs can take all the time in the world on this game, I wouldn’t dare rush the follow-up to one of the best zombie games on Xbox.
Unofficial Status: No problems here, as far as I can tell. We’ll hear from it when it’s ready.
Draugen
The Dreamfall Chapters have kept developer Red Thread Games fairly busy, so I doubt they’re in much of a rush to let us know what’s going on with their survival horror game Draugen. Even still, I’d like to know how it’s coming along. The game made a lasting impression on me when we last saw it.
Unofficial Status: Spring 2016, maybe?
