Fans of the Halloween series know that the sixth film, Halloween VI: The Curse Of Michael Myers, has an unrated producer’s cut which dramatically changed the story by the time the film hit theaters. For years and years, bootleg versions of this so-called Producer’s Cut were circulated at conventions and flea markets, never getting the real attention it so deserved. But that changed in September of 2014 when the legendary Producer’s Cut was included in the Blu-Ray box set issued by Anchor Bay and Scream Factory.

However, for many fans, the price of the box set was rather prohibitive, meaning they wouldn’t get the chance to see this holy grail of Michael Myers lore. And that’s where Lionsgate is stepping in as it looks like they’re releasing a standalone Blu-Ray of the film on September 15th. In fact, you can pre-order it now via Amazon for only $9.99, which is a killer (pun kinda intended but aware it will elicit groans) deal. So, if you’ve been wanting to check out this cut of the film, there really isn’t a better time.
