“I’ve got a big mean mother fucking monster!”
If ever there was a horror-influenced music video that you need to watch, it’s this one!
I was sent a video from director Kate Freund, who told me that she directed, “a low budget, horror music video that I was hoping you’d check out. It’s bloody as hell, features a monster, and a dancer with some killer moves.” Now, I get sent these kinds of emails CONSTANTLY, but I figured why the hell not? I’ll give it a few minutes of my time to see what’s in store for me. And I’m really, really glad I did because this video is goddamn incredible!
Freund wasn’t kidding when she said that this video is bloody as there are some seriously twisted and cringeworthy moments. And who can resist a video where ballerinas engage in a choreographed slaughter?
Additionally, what she didn’t mention – and was a delightful surprise – was that the video has this gorgeous Italian giallo atmosphere throughout. It’s like a mix between Suspiria, The Devil’s Carnival, and a splash of Hobo With A Shotgun thrown into the mix.
