Derek Connolly, the writer behind this year’s smash hit Jurassic World, will be lending his writing talents to Universal’s Kong: Skull Island. He’s doing some last minute alterations as the movie is apparently already deep in the casting stages and will begin shooting in late October in Hawaii, according to THR.
Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, and Corey Hawkins are set to star in the film, which will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts.
The film, “…sees a team of explorers venture into the mysterious, creature-laden isle that is also the home of the king of the apes.”
Kong: Skull Island is set to stomp its way into theaters on March 10th, 2017.
