The horror community is reeling after the loss of Wes Craven. From fans to coworkers, directors to critics, his loss is a sharp blow as many of us cut our teeth on his films.
Director John Carpenter himself has spoken up, offering a few words on the loss of Craven. Carpenter directed Craven in the 1993 sci-fi/horror anthology film Body Bags.
Carpenter wrote:
My friend Wes has left us too soon. He was truly an Old School director. I had a great time directing him. I’m REALLY gonna miss him.
It’s comforting knowing that his loss is shared by so many, although it doesn’t make it hurt any less.
