While Silent Hill: Revelation might have been a steaming pile of disappointment, I will always have hope that a truly good Silent Hill movie will get made. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Christophe Gans’ 2006 interpretation, which I still posit is the most faithful video game-to-film adaptation we’ve ever been gifted. Adam also feels the same way, writing, that the film is, “…far from perfect, but I believe Gans and Friends have come the closest to bringing us a decent adaptation.“.
Because of the disappointment of the original film’s sequel (which was pretty much universally panned), a group of fans have decided that they are going to make their own movie titled Silent Hill: Requiem. Written, directed, and edited by Gareth Morgan, the film will be, according to him, “…a game changer. A film the fans deserve.”
The movie will feature memorable characters from the game such as Heather Cheryl Mason, Cynthia Valesquez, James Sunderland, Henry Townsend, and Mary/Maria.
