We basically post exclusively about media that you can enjoy either in your home or in a theater. Rarely we’ll post about concert tours, movie festivals, or other assorted events that get you out of the house. But rarer still are the times when we tell you about fun events that are somewhat different from the usual fare. This is one of those times.
Kicking off this Saturday at the Corey Helford Gallery in downtown Los Angeles is a new art exhibit that feature the surreal work of Ron English. Dubbed “NeoNature: We Are the New They”, the 22-piece exhibit encompasses oil paintings, sculptures, and two installations and, “…a poignant, pensive, and poetic commentary on our world and introduce thought-provoking perspectives on iconic beasts such as “Poultry Rex Revolution,” a depiction of evolution’s sense of humor regarding the most-feared dinosaur in history.”
As mentioned above, the exhibit opens this Saturday and goes through January 9th, 2016. Below are a few examples of what you’ll see should you decide to attend.
