This cast just keeps getting better.
Variety reports today that Thomas Middleditch (“Silicon Valley”), who had a standout role in meta slasher The Final Girls, has just joined the growing cast of Michael Dougherty’s sequel Godzilla: King of the Monsters. No character details are available at this time, but we can only assume/hope that Middleditch will bring his comedic chops to the table.
Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah are expected to be in the film.
The cast also includes Millie Bobby Brown (“Stranger Things”), Ken Watanabe (Godzilla), Aisha Hinds (“Underground”), Charles Dance (“Game of Thrones”), Kyle Chandler (Super 8), Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring), Sally Hawkins (Godzilla), Randy Havens (“Stranger Things”) and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton).
Dougherty wrote the script with Zach Shields.
Godzilla: King of Monsters hits theaters on March 22, 2019, with the Adam Wingard-directed Godzilla vs. Kong slated to bow the following year on May 22, 2020.
