Back in January, it was revealed that Sega was releasing a brand-new arcade game in the House of the Dead series, called House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn. At the time, it was announced that the game would be released in Tokyo, but nowhere else. That has now changed.
Via Twitter, Sega has announced that the arcade game will be headed to Western shores, although there’s no exact date as to when. For those in need of an explanation of what goes on in Scarlet Dawn, all you really need to know is that the game has guns, zombies, over-the-top writing and ridiculous voice-acting.
In other words, it’s a House of the Dead game.
Of course, the next question is if the game will be coming to consoles. That’s another discussion entirely. In the meantime, keep an eye out for this one in your local arcades. And yes, they still exist.
