CMON Games Reveals ‘Bloodborne: The Board Game’ Trailer

While it might seem a little odd for a board game to get a trailer, if it’s a game like Bloodborne: The Board Game, I can sort of understand. The recently-announced board game adaptation of the From Software hit will have its Kickstarter campaign begin on April 23. And to hype it up, we have the trailer from CMON Games.

The trailer mixes video game footage with a 3D representation of the board game to show how closely the developers are sticking with the source material. The board game itself is a “campaign-based action-adventure” game that uses miniatures with up to four players. The game also uses deckbuilding to replicated the RPG mechanics seen in the video game.

Each character will start with the same generic deck, and slowly gain new cards that will change how they can fight. These new cards come in the form of new weapons and upgraded skill cards.

And unlike other games that use dice, Bloodborne: The Board Game relies on your skills in playing the right cards. No luck involved.
