“The Love Boat” Intro Gets the Horror Redo We’ve Never Known We Wanted
I have a confession to make: I’ve never seen an episode of “The Love Boat“. Admittedly, it went off the air when I was a toddler, so that might have something to do with it. However, you damn well better believe I’ve heard the theme song countless times throughout my life. It’s been used as the foundation for loads of parody versions and, as a result, I’ve sought out the original just so I had some context. It’s…a song. That’s probably the highest praise I can give it.
Now, many of you might be wondering why I’m talking about “The Love Boat” on Bloody-Disgusting. After all, the show and horror couldn’t be further apart, right? Well, not according to YouTube user RIJIR, who took the introduction and replaced the character’s faces with horror icons. You’ll see characters from Evil Dead, Motel Hell, The Thing, Halloween III and more, making this the most romantic deadly cruise ever!
The Love Boat promises something for everyone, doo doo dah doo… DAMMIT! Now it’s in my head!
