Tonight, Friday, July 13 at 7pm, the Durham Bulls present “Stranger Things Night at the DBAP, a special event presented by Relay that will see the minor league baseball team paying tribute to Netflix’s hit series. It’s taking place at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina, and the night’s festivities include all kinds of “Stranger Things”-inspired fun.

For starters, the team will be wearing special jerseys based on one of Dustin’s outfits from the show, along with hats inspired by Dustin’s iconic hat! Other events for the night include…

  • Belgian Waffle Crafters food truck will be on-hand
  • Fans are encouraged to dress in their best 80s gear
  • Friday Night Fireworks show accompanied by a Stranger Things/80s-themed soundtrack
  • Headband giveaway presented by RELAY, as the DBAP aims to set the world record for most people wearing a headband at once
  • Ghostbusters-inspired performance
  • In-game salute to honor Barb and Bob
  • Stranger Things-themed headshots and graphics on the videoboards
  • Christmas lights strung up around the Ballpark Corner Store

If you can’t attend, you can get it on the fun by grabbing a Durham Bulls x “Stranger Things” hat in their online shop, and you can also bid on the team’s game-worn jerseys.

Proceeds from the auction benefit the Children’s Research Institute at UNC Health Care.
