Not a Single Person Has Finished This Haunted House Attraction, Which Offers a $20,000 Prize

Published

With the rise of Halloween’s popularity comes the explosion of escape rooms and haunted attractions/mazes, both of which have become abundant in pretty much every town (just like Elm Street!).

While I prefer the “no touching” experience, there are the thrill-seekers out there hunting down the most dangerous haunts in hopes of pushing the boundaries and actually scaring the shit out of them. If you think you’re toughest of them all, think again.

McKamey Manor in Summertown, Tennessee is being billed as “the scariest in the world” and requires visitors to sign a 40-page waiver, pass a physical and undergo a background check, writes UPI.

But here’s the kicker: the prize for finishing is $20,000, but no one has ever finished the attraction, thus the prize money remains untouched.

While we can all speculate why nobody has ever finished, it’s being reported that nobody has even made it to the starting clock.

“Nobody’s even made it to the starting clock with this new show,” owner Russ McKamey told News Channel 8. “With the new mental game, it’s much more difficult. And because of that, no one’s even started the clock.”

Yes, they play your worst fears against you and even, gulp, use hypnosis?

“When I use the hypnosis I can put you in a kitty pool with a couple inches of water and tell you there’s a great white shark in there, and you’re gonna think there’s a shark in there,” he said. “And so, when you have that kind of power over people, and have them do and see things that you want them to see, then they can leave here thinking it really happened, and they’ll go to the authorities and say, ‘oh, whatever,’ and I have to come back and show the footage and say, ‘it didn’t go that way at all.’

Yes, people have called the police on him. “It’s saved me a thousand times.”

The price of admission? A bag of food for his five dogs. If you think you’re the one who’s going to collect the $20,000, you can contact Russ here.
