The Original Station Wagon from ‘Halloween’ is Driving into Flashback Weekend Later This Month!

Published

Driven by Michael Myers in John Carpenter’s horror classic, the 1978 LTD Station Wagon from Halloween has been restored, and its driving into Flashback Weekend this month.

The Station Wagon is being brought to the event as part of a Halloween Reunion, which will feature stars from both the original classic and the brand new trilogy of Halloween films.

The press release explains, “Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Con presents an epic “HALLOWEEN” (1978) and “HALLOWEEN KILLS” (2021) reunion featuring the biggest star (literally) of the original 1978 classic. That, of course, is the original 1978 LTD Station Wagon which Michael Myers stole and used to stalk his victims throughout Haddonfield, Illinois.

“For decades, fans have been wondering what happened to this iconic vehicle. The original 1978 Ford LTD station wagon was rented from a car rental agency for two weeks of filming. After filming was completed, the wagon was returned to the rental agency and auctioned off for private use. It then sat in a barn for decades before being sold to its current caretaker. The Wagon has received a thorough and complete exterior and interior frame on restoration. The Illinois State Logo and Prisoner Cage have been once again added to the Wagon. The HALLOWEEN WAGON will premiere and be reunited at Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Con with the two stars who drove the Wagon, Nick Castle (as Michael Myers) and Nancy Stephens (as Nurse Marion Chambers).

“Flashback Weekend attendees will have the opportunity to take photos with the iconic station wagon, and even sit inside this piece of cinema history in the very seat in which Nick Castle (as Michael Myers) and Nancy Stephens sat back in 1978! This huge HALLOWEEN reunion will also feature Sandy Johnson (Judith Myers), James Jude Courtney (the new Michael Myers) and Academy Award winner Christopher Nelson who created the new Michael Myers masks for “HALLOWEEN” (2018) and “HALLOWEEN KILLS” (2021). Christopher also portrayed Michael Myers for a few shots during “HALLOWEEN” (2018). Fans can have their picture taken with Nick Castle and Nancy Stephens in front of the Station Wagon.

“Other amazing Flashback Weekend guests include Tobin Bell & Shawnee Smith (SAW), Kane Hodder (Jason, Friday the 13th 7-10) and a Jason 8 costume photo-op, Mark Rolston & Jenette Goldstein (ALIENS), Rock Legends Charlie Benante (Anthrax) & Carla Harvey (Butcher Babies), D.B. Sweeney (FIRE IN THE SKY), Zach Galligan (GREMLINS), Charles Band (Full Moon Entertainment), a huge “FRIDAY THE 13th V” reunion featuring Melanie Kinnaman, Deborah Voorhees, Dick Wieand, Ron Sloan, and Carol Locatell and great Friday V costume photo-ops, KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE reunion – Grant Cramer & Suzanne Snyder, and Harrod Blank & Mike Martinez in costume photo-ops, Peter Cowper (MY BLOODY VALENTINE), Svengoolie (Rich Koz) will be signing autographs, posing for photos, and hosting the Sinister Visions Costume Contest! And more great guests TBA.”

Flashback Weekend runs from July 30-Aug. 1, 2021.

The Ultimate ‘Ask Bloody Disgusting Anything’ Discussion Thread for June 2026!

Published

Can you believe this year marks the 25TH ANNIVERSARY of Bloody Disgusting?! Yes, it was way back in 2001 that Brad Miska and Tom Owen launched this very website, with yours truly taking over as Editor-in-Chief around 10 years ago. It’s been the highlight of my life to run and write for this website every single day of those past 10 years, and one of the very best things about writing for Bloody Disgusting is the community that’s kept us alive all these years.

It’s thanks to you, the readers and supporters of Bloody Disgusting, that we get to keep doing this for a living, and we’re deeply proud of the fact that we’ve continued to have an engaged and active readership over the years and throughout the many changes we’ve had to weather.

We’re not going anywhere anytime soon, and we hope you’re not either.

On that note, we thought it might be fun to fire up monthly discussion threads where you can essentially use the comments sections of those articles to ask us anything. Sure, we’re always hanging around in the comments sections of different articles here and there when we can, but these will be dedicated spaces that we can repeatedly come back to throughout each month to answer questions and chat about what’s going on in the world of horror.

For the month of June 2026, this is that discussion thread. Feel free to come on back here any day throughout June to ask us literally anything, or start up a discussion on any topic of your choosing. Whenever we’ve got some spare time in between writing articles, we’ll pop in here and engage back with as many of those comments as we possibly can.

As long as you’re being pleasant, even if you’re expressing disagreements with our opinions or frustrations with anything we’re doing, the conversation will be more than welcome.

So go ahead… ASK BLOODY DISGUSTING ANYTHING!
