Not only are we getting Practical Magic 2, but a stage musical based on the 1995 novel and its 1998 film adaptation is also in the works.
Deadline reports that Practical Magic author Alice Hoffman is writing the book for the musical alongside Peter Duchan (Dogfight).
10-time Grammy winner Norah Jones and producer/songwriter Gregg Wattenberg (Goo Goo Dolls, Daughtry) will write the music and lyrics, with Maria Friedman (Merrily We Roll Along) set to direct.

Stephanie & Nicole Kramer and Brian & Dayna Lee are producing by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures (who are also behind The Lost Boys musical). Mark Kaufman, Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer of WBTV, will serve as creative consultant.

Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, Dianne Wiest, and Stockard Channing will reprise their roles in Susanne Bier’s Practical Magic 2, in theaters on September 11.
